The team was released on Wednesday, May 15.  The Heartland Conference had two women on the first team, both St Edward's players and one women from Incarnate Word on the second team.

The eighth seeded Rattlers (34-19 overall) will face top seeded Midwestern State in the first round of the tournament on Friday at noon.

St. Mary's enters the tournament on a roll, having won its last six games, including an 8-7 decision over St. Edward's University in the Heartland Conference Tournament Championship game. Midwestern State University was the Lone Star Conference regular season champion. The Rattlers led 6-2 after the fourth inning, but the Hilltoppers rallied for four runs over the next two innings, tying the game at 6-6, entering the seventh inning. Kelly Baker (Jr., Arlington, Texas) led off the inning by walking and Christina Rodriguez (Fr., San Antonio) followed with a walk of her own. The runners moved to second and third on a sacrifice bunt. SEU pitcher Paige Sandahl then walked Chelsea Wenske (Jr., Shiner) to load the bases. After Sarah Perez (Fr., San Marcos, Texas) struck out, Garcia (Fr., San Antonio) stepped up to the plate. With the victory, the Rattlers advance to the Heartland Conference Tournament Championship game on Saturday at noon at Diane Daniels Field.

The Rattlers wasted no time in jumping on the Hilltoppers and starting pitcher Paige Sandahl. Katie Nichols (Fr., San Marcos, Texas) walked to lead off and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Arlynda Flores (Sr., Uvalde, Texas) picked up the second walk of the inning, and Kelly Baker (Jr., Arlington, Texas) brought both runners home with a double to right, giving St. Mary's a 2-0 lead. Christine Rodriguez (Fr., San Antonio) kept the rally going with an RBI single to make the score 3-0. That chased Sandahl from the game and brought in Diana Cezeaux on the mound. Munoz (Sr., Bulverde, Texas) had only one 1-2-3 inning in the game, working her way into and out of trouble all day, but extended her scoreless innings streak to 19.2 innings with the complete game shutout. Munoz four hits and walked two, while striking out four. The victory clinched the regular season conference championship, for St. Edward&rsquo;s for the second-consecutive season.
Incarnate Word (26-22, 14-6 HC) started the game with two-straight singles. The victory gives allows the Lady Falcons to compete in the conference tournament for the second consecutive season while Lincoln&rsquo;s season comes to a close at 8-30.  

After two scoreless innings, the Lady Falcons got a three-run homerun by Angel Castro in the top of the third inning to take a 3-0 lead.
