The St. Edward’s athletic department was honored this week as 40 student-athletes were named to the 2009-10 Academic Achievement Awards presented by the National Association of College Athletic Directors and WeatherPORT.
To be honored, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, had attended at least to years of college, and been an active member of an intercollegiate team.
St. Edward’s was one of 92 NCAA Division II institutions to have representation on the list. In all, there were 3.022 student-athletes honored by NACDA.
