Brandon Tripp joined the Heartland Conference in 2016 as the Director of Communications and Strategic Positioning before being promoted to Assistant Commissioner of Strategic Positioning in June 2017.
In addition to serving as the primary contact for the conference’s 13 intercollegiate sports, Tripp oversees the conference’s digital and social media efforts and coordinates brand management for the conference. He assists with the coordination and execution of all conference championship events including neutral site championships in basketball, golf and baseball, and is responsible for designing and coordinating all conference championship advertising.
During his time with the Heartland, Tripp has led the conference's rebranding efforts which culminated in the release of the first new brand for the conference since 2011. As part of the redesign effort, he also helped develop the first set of conference championship logos in the summer of 2017. Tripp also led the redesign efforts of the Heartland Conference website in 2017 that led to a complete overhaul to accommodate a responsive website. He also helped coordinate and launch the Heartland Conference Digital Network in the fall of 2017.
Tripp joined the conference from the University of North Texas where he served as the university’s Social Media Strategist for nearly two years beginning in 2014. Prior to his time with the Mean Green, Tripp worked for two years at Fresno Pacific University, a Division II member in California, where he served as the school’s Associate Director of Athletics Communications.
A native of Irving, Texas, Tripp is a graduate of Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas where he earned his bachelor’s in journalism in 2011.
