Bringing more than 20 years of experience in sports marketing, Darin David manages sponsorships for the Heartland Conference and its championships.
Before launching his sponsorship consulting practice, Steel Curtain Consulting, David served as an account director for The Marketing Arm in Dallas for 10 years. During that time, he advised a number of Fortune 500 brands on sponsorship selection and execution. Working with Frito Lay, Walmart, Chili’s, HP, Wells Fargo and others, he developed effective strategies and developed engaging activation. David helped his clients manage properties spanning NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NCAA, pro tennis and pro golf.
Prior to TMA, David was sponsorship manager for Williams, overseeing the energy company’s PGA and LPGA tournament agreements. He also gained collegiate experience as the assistant director of marketing and public relations director for the NAIA National Office for six years.
David received an MBA from Oklahoma State University and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa. He lives in Allen, Texas, with his wife Kathy and their two daughters.
