Tony Stigliano has served as the Commissioner of the Heartland Conference since the conference's inception in 1999.
During his time as commissioner, Stigliano has led the conference that has helped nearly 10 institutions transition into Division II.
Stigliano's experience on the collegiate level is vast, having served as commissioner of the Heart of Texas Conference for over 12 years. He has also served as commissioner of the NAIA Red River Conference. Stigliano has served as the coordinator of officials for numerous conferences, including the Big 12.
Stigliano is a former NCAA men's basketball official for the Big 12, Big 10, Western Athletic and Sunbelt Conferences. He officiated the NCAA Division I tournament eight times including the 1991 First Round matchup against No. 15 Richmond and No. 2 Syracuse, the first time a 15-seed upset a No. 2-seed.
Stigliano also has in-depth experience in the areas of leadership training, management and business planning.
Commissioner Stigliano resides in Waco, Texas, with his wife, Billie. They have three grown children.
