WACO, Texas - St. Mary’s junior Ben Arnett and St. Edward’s junior Johany Rivera have been named Heartland Golfers of the Week for tournaments played from Sept. 28 - Oct. 4.

St. Mary's Men's Golfer Ben Arnett fired an even-par 72 in Tuesday's final round to win the Newman Fall Invitational as he shot a two-under-par 214 for the tournament. Arnett helped the Rattlers take fourth place as a team at the Crestview Country Club North Course. Eleven teams and 57 players competed in the tournament.
Women’s Golfer of the Week
Johany Rivera, St. Edward’s
Junior, Spring Branch, Texas
Johany Rivera was outstanding in her final round at the UCO RCB Bank Classic as she finished the two-round tournament at one-over-par (143). The seasoned Rivera showed her experience with three-straight birdies on holes 13-15, then capped off her round with three-consecutive pars to finish one-under. In a tough field of 90 golfers only four under-par rounds were shot during the two-day event. Her victory was her first this season and fourth of her career as she helped lead the Hilltoppers to a team victory.
