WACO, Texas - West Texas A&M midfielder Simon Sebbah and Newman goalkeeper Blake Andrews have been named the Heartland Men’s Soccer Players of the Week for matches played from Sept. 19 - Sept. 25.

Offensive Player of the Week
Simon Sebbah, West Texas A&M
Midfielder, Jr., Paris, France

The Buffs went 2-0 during the week in large part to the play of Simon Sebbah. The French native played a total of 81 minutes over the two matches recording two goals on four shots. He came off the bench to score the game-winner in the 82nd against Texas A&M-International. He made his first career start against the Rattlers and put the Buffs ahead after 15 minutes on a header off of a corner kick.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Blake Andrews, Newman
Goalkeeper, Sr., Maize, Kan.

Andrews put up his second shutout in as many tries in the past eight days, this time holding No. 23 Midwestern State scoreless in a 1-0 Newman victory Sunday as the Jets ran their unbeaten streak to six games. Andrews made five saves against the Mustangs, and made a number of big plays on crosses and corners late in the match.
