WACO, Texas - St. Mary’s sophomore Emilio Gonzalez and Oklahoma Christian sophomore Abigail Rigsby have been named the Heartland Golfers of the Week for tournaments played from March 7 - March 13.

Rattlers’ sophomore Emilio Gonzalez helped lead St. Mary’s to a fifth place finish at the Regional Preview in Amarillo, Texas. The sophomore tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard as he carded an opening round 69. His second round 73 help secure the team's third straight top-five finish. The award marks the fourth golfer of the week honor for Gonzalez this season.
Women’s Golfer of the Week
Abigail Rigsby, Oklahoma Christian
Sophomore, Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada
Oklahoma Christian’s Abigail Rigsby posted her first collegiate win, taking the loaded Midwestern State Invitational by four shots shooting 73-76--149 (5-over-par) at Wichita Falls Country Club. Rigsby has excelled at WFCC for two straight tournaments, shooting 1-under-par over the final two rounds at last year's Super Regional there to advance to the NCAA Division II Championship. This is Rigsby’s first golfer of the week award this season.
